MY HUSBAND WAS DIAGNOSED BIPOLAR MIXED. I'M BEGINNING TO BELIEVE HE IS NOT. HE IS ABLE TO TURN IT OFF AND ON. WHEN HE IS AROUND OTHER PEOPLE HE IS KIND AND QUIET AND SWEET. AND WHEN ALONE WITH ME, HE IS HATEFUL, CONTROLING AND TERRIBLE VERBALLY ABUSIVE. HE WILL TERRORIZE ME FOR DAYS AND THEN LEAVE AND WHEN HE SPEAKS TO ME ON THE PHONE AND WHILE IN FRONT OF HIS FRIENDS, SPEAKS TO ME REALLY CALM AND SAYS HE DOESN'T WANT TO ARGUE AND DOESN'T KNOW WHY I'M ALWAYS SO UPSET. HE'S NUTZ??!!!!!! I THINK HE IS JUST AN ABUSER. IT IS SO DELIBERATE AND CALCULATED. I'M PRETTY SURE THAT PEOPLE WITH B IPOLAR CANNOT CONTROL IT LIKE THAT. ITS LIKE HE WILL BE SO MEAN TO ME AND VIOLENT . LEAVE, CALL ME FROM A FREINDS AND ACT LIKE HE HAS NO IDEA WHY I'M UPSET WITH HIM. ITS AMAZING AND THEN HE'LL BE LIKE, "I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY YOUR SOO UPSET, WHAT IS WRONG?" ACTS LIKE HE IS CLUELESS AND TELLS HIS FRIENDS, I'M ALWAYS LIKE THAT. THEN AS SOON AS HE GETS AWAY FROM THEM, BACK TO BEING HATEFUL AND CALLING ME

Sure, it can happen. Of course the shows version is fiction. Kidnappings happen all the time, all you have to do is look at this past year for two examples of someone being held against their will and bearing their abductors children (Josef Fritzl & Phillip Garrido). Sometimes that person can be held against their will their entire life or in the case Stockholm syndrome, they get attached to their abductor and freely stay with them. Once they have kids, and aren't caught, they can influence their children anyway they want.

Make LED's flash then fade out?

So here's the deal; I am making a binary clock with a timer ad ripple counters and LED's and stuff, and that is all working, but I want to make it so that every minute, a row of LED's (seven, to be precise) will flash on, then fade out. Every minute, I have a signal which resets the seconds counter to zero, and increments the minutes counter, so I would like to tie into that, through a power transistor or something, to charge some capacitors, which will in turn light the LED's and cause the desired fading effect. however, this signal only lasts for about 1/60 of a second, which is definitely not enough time to charge the capacitors. so what I need is an IC or a simple circuit of some kind which will begin to output power as soon as it receives that signal, and continue to supply power for about a second or so (or however long it takes to charge the capacitors). I anyone knows of an IC or has the diagram of a circuit that will do this for me, it would be a great help.

"A" is a letter. But it can be, in some words, a complete syllable as you point out. Just because that syllable has one letter in it, doesn't make "A" a syllable.
