Does the Catholic Church support Mexican and Latino nationalism even if it borders on fascism?

I wouldn’t go so far as to say that the Catholic Church supports Mexican or Latino nationalism, but it does support illegal immigration. After all, since the majority of Mexicans are Catholic, by allowing a free flow of Mexican immigrants into this country it allows for the Catholic political, economic, and social power to grow. Granted some of their position concerning illegal immigration maybe the result of genuine Christian compion for the impoverished and downtrodden, but I think much of their support for the relaxation or complete lack of enforcement of immigration policy is to increase the size of its own constituency.
