Kidnappings happen all the time, all you have to do is look at this past year for two examples of someone being held against their will and bearing their abductors children (Josef Fritzl & Phillip Garrido). Sometimes that person can be held against their will their entire life or in the case Stockholm syndrome, they get attached to their abductor and freely stay with them. Make LED's flash then fade out?

So here's the deal; I am making a binary clock with a timer ad ripple counters and LED's and stuff, and that is all working, but I want to make it so that every minute, a row of LED's (seven, to be precise) will flash on, then fade out. Every minute, I have a signal which resets the seconds counter to zero, and increments the minutes counter, so I would like to tie into that, through a power transistor or something, to charge some capacitors, which will in turn light the LED's and cause the desired fading effect. however, this signal only lasts for about 1/60 of a second, which is definitely not enough time to charge the capacitors. so what I need is an IC or a simple circuit of some kind which will begin to output power as soon as it receives that signal, and continue to supply power for about a second or so (or however long it takes to charge the capacitors). I anyone knows of an IC or has the diagram of a circuit that will do this for me, it would be a great help.

Ok, so my ex broke up with me about 7 weeks ago. We vowed to remain friends. I like her a lot (sometimes I think I love her), and I haven't been able to get her out of my mind. Premarital Counseling?

I have been in some rough relationships including an engagement before and through God's grace have been able to move on.I am now engaged to a man I have been with for 2 years, however these 2 years have not been all wonderful. During our dating faze his parents decided they hated the ground I walked on because I was black, my fiancee is white, so they made my life a living hell, so bad I ended up having to take them to court and get a protective order. Things after that settled down a bit then my fiancee went through what he is now calling a lie, but basically what he did was started acting like he was mentally ill, drug me and other though various drs & specialists with him, applied for social security and things were just really rough for a while. Now after about a year of the torture he is back to acting somewhat normal, has decided to go to college, is working hard to complete a degree, the "mental illness" issue has disappeared, and he even told me that he just did it for attention. We are planing on getting married later in the year however I am thinking that premarital counseling may help to get some things out on the table and allow us to discuss them before we get married. What advice can anyone give?? And please do not be rude I do love this man and care about him greatly.

Me and my christian peers had experience thought provoking and bizzare happenings in our christian walk.For instance my friend was hoping to attend this very important christian seminar that will be very beneficial for his christian life,he prayed so hard that he will be able to attend without any screw ups or accidents.But on the day itself he lost his pport and was unable to attend his concert oversea, he brought a wasted air-ticket and was terribly grief stricken,why did such misfortune happen to him on such a crucial moment. It was hours before the flight that he found out he lost the pport when he saw it just an hour ago! He asked God why did this happen to him and he thought maybe God thinks that the seminar aint best for his christian life. It puzzles me but i comforted him and encouraged him by my spirit.I thought maybe its because wants to see if he can stood the test of faith, he is a very steadfast servant of God, who can overcome many difficulties because God has been faithful to him. Because the end time is near it's stated graphically in the bible that we are living in the end times, christians can attain Godlikeness when the spirit is with him. If your computer allows you to be in safe mode long enough to try a system restore then you should try that. Otherwise try hitting F11 or whatever on is the setup key when it first comes on. Go to the BIOS screen. And run a system check. You should be able to find the instructions on your computer systems website.

How to groom a cat that has gotten soaked with cooking oil?

Not sure, but because he howls when lonely, I think a neighbor poured cooking oil on my male cat named "Pac Man" for the design on this sides. (looks like a PacMan) He is not too keen on being brushed, tried the towel, it worked to get the heaviest oil out. He has long fur. Two layers, it is soft like bunny fur. He has a few mats too and not sure how to get those out as he bites me if I pull even the tiniest bit. Any advise is welcome. He is usually pretty good at grooming himself, but this oil is overwhelming him and it is something I need advice on. Maybe oatmeal or cornmeal?

The Monitor screen is Mirrored when turned on is there a way to reverse it?

I was messing around inside the monitor TFT LCD mini monitor to fix a faulty wire which I did and on putting it back together one of the wires for the LCD circuit board Green/Blk wire Socket came out with wire... on putting it back I had put it in the wrong way and when turning on it just blinked. What i did next was to put it back the right way now it works like new BUT it's a Mirror and not usable. Is there anything I can do to get the screen to go the right way around instead of a mirrored screen? THANKS For ANY HELP!

Wow, excellent team. Great QB, Amazing RB's, and very solid receivers. I like Chris Johnson and Rashard Mendenhall, those two are a fantastic core for your team. Then, LeGarrette Blount should be an excellent player this year coming off of his rookie season. Phillip Rivers is one of the best QB's in fantasy and is rock solid. Sam Bradford is an amazing QB to come off of the bench. I am really high on Miles Austin this year too. Mario Manningham is a sleeper this year, but just watch out to see if the sign Burress or if Steve Smith is healthy at the start of this season. Vernon Davis is a beast. Overall, this is an excellent team. I would probably give it a 9.5/10. You could use a little bit of help at backup RB, but I'm big on Torain this year. Nice job drafting, and good luck this season!

Help, I'm going crazy?

my mind seems to have entered into a self destructive phase whereby I seem to acknowledge the positive about me, my abilities and skills, especially social skills and in doing so I sort of lose them. Like the ability to communicate, it's like there's a second voice in my head making me fantasize what could be a reality and in doing so it doesn't feel like it would if it were to come by flow... Well I'm struggling right now to communicate my thoughts. It's a process that's now seeming so tasking. There's this voice in my head making me overthink everytthing I'm doing and at the end of it I just feel mentally and emotionally exhausted. I've become more irritable, impatient and feeling angry and stressed. What could I be going through? I've noticed that I don't take praise too well now.. First of all you need a few more closers.Time is running out for trades.I would trade JJ Hardy,David Murphy,Schumaker and Ibanez.See if you can get closers out of these guys.Get closers with low era and whip.There are 4 stats generally overlooked in fantasy baseball.Average,Steals,Whip and ERA.Guys get so hr and rbi crazy they dont look at the rest.In pitching they focus on wins,ks and saves.You can focus on AVG,STEALS,RUNS,ERA,SAVES AND WHIP and ussually make up spots.Looking at your team JJ Hardy is done with his hot streak he has every year.Unload him.You need to trade Ibanez or drop him for a utility guy that will get you a ton of steals like Pieere who just came back or Tavares.The more releivers you can play with a low ERA and WHIP they will bring your average ERA and Whip down.Murphy and Schumaker are not hot comodities but someone may unload a closer for them.Jimmy Rollins is having a down year at ss but will heat up and get you 25 steals by the end of the year,Maybe you can trade for him or I would pick up Hairriston jr,Aviles or Aybar.They will put up more than Guzman.I would put Huff at first,Granderson utility and Posibly trade off Delgado while he his hot.Good luck to you.I have 20 teams every year and finish in the top three with every one of them every year.

Its hard to see clearly when you are feeling down, chances are that you have more friends than you realize. I think maybe you're making composting sound more difficult than it needs to be. Yes, everything rots. Throw it all in one bin, and turn it occasionally. That's all you need to do. All the animal needs is your love and time and he will be happy. My dog Lexi Rose is home for 10 hours a day. When im home she is with me every minute and i live in an apartment. She is large for the average female, 96lbs. She is the happiest dog in the world. As long as there with you they are content. Play is important as well as affection. You have a small space as i do so make sure when picking your shepherd DO NOT get one from "working lines' They are meant to be extremely active and need to run and roam. Let the breeders that you talk to know you want an American German shepherd that is low key, not a working dog nor a puppy from working lines. Also tell them you are looking for a straight back dog not slanted with low hips. Those lines are high energy as well and can be destructful if they don't get enough running. Nba 2k10 disc problem(unreadable)?

Alright so it tells me i have to turn off the console/reset it and clean it with a soft cloth. The disc had no scratches anyway but i still did it. And when I did it it still had the same problem. I tried resetting the cache of my xbox and still no help. I removed the hardware to see if the files were corrupted but they weren't. Every game I own works but NBA 2k10. The game was working for a day and than all of a sudden it stopped working.

It's not that weird. I think it depends on each person and how their body responds. I take a shower everyday/ every other day depending on how much my hair needs it. My mom though has really dry hair and doesn't sweat so she can get away with showering less often. If you're not showering, you could just wash your face and hands every morning. That's what they did in the past before people started showering daily. Honestly though, showering is not burden so why not take 10 min. out of your day to do it? It will wake you up in the morning!

How do/did you overcome dyslexia problems in your career?

I was found to have dyslexia three years back, I am now 30. despite this I still gained a Marketing Degree 2:1 back in 2000. I never had a problem with reading and writing just some other aspects of dyslexia number problems and hearing instructions, paying attention in meetings, I have always found working in very offices challenging (I know why now.) and now work in a warehouse much easier! I was "retired" from my last entry level job because of mistakes. I know everyone is different, but are there any successful dyslexics out there who have overcome their weaknesses? Do you admit you are dyslexic? Im good at interviews and getting the job I go for but Im scared to give things a go again?? :(

It started as picture day at school and it was going really badly for me. Two of these guys I know came into the room in tutus and began doing ballet. i run track but its come down to my strength. Im a sprinter. i have been working out almost all summer doing all sorts of powerlifts and crazy stuff. 1 month old teething help!!?

My little one was one month old yesterday - we took her to the emergency dr's last week because she would not stop screaming was drooling alot and was generally very fussy i could not settle her at all - the dr told us that she has colic and also when i mentioned the drooling they had a look at her and tld me that it was possible that she was cutting teeth which i thought was not possible - today she has been very fussy again and has developed two white marks at the very front of her gums which look like teeth cutting through!!! does anybody know what we can do to help her with the pain i have tried putting her dummy in the freezer but she has got herself into such a state she just spits it out - is there anything else i can do????????

Bad knee pain in my right knee after I run or jump...?

So for about a week now, I've been having pain in my right knee after I exercise. u will feel a lot better like an hour after but i think it depends i had mine after i gave birth my doctor was on vacation and he never told me during the visits that i had anemia i had had it before so he thought i knew after my c-section i was so weak i fainted and then i had the blood transfusion it really helps soon after it brought my levels up from a 6 to i think a 10 or something my baby was also born with anemia he is all better now though wish you luck with your baby

My dad mixed Blue Buffalo with Purina Puppy Chow!!?

So we have an American Pitbull Terrier 5 month old right now and when we first got him he was about 2 month and his previous owner fed him Purina Puppy Chow. Well I noticed that he had allergies so I changed it to Blue Buffalo for Puppies and I have been feeding him ever since and he barely had any allergies but today my dad being very cheap took the left over Purina Puppy Chow which was kind of a lot and mixed it all in with the Blue Buffalo. I didn't notice it until he told me and well my puppy again is scratching himself a lot so now I am pissed off. The fact is I AM THE ONE WHO BUYS THE DOG FOOD NOT HIM. I SPEND $40 ON IT AND NOW IM JUST WTF. There was like half of Blue Buffalo and now the bag is almost full mixed with Puppy Chow. So I was wondering should I keep feeding my puppy the mixed dog food or should I buy a brand new one? How do I get an external monitor to work?

I have an Acer Aspire 1640z and my screen is broken. I have it hooked up properly to an external monitor (a rather old one, but it still works) and when I turn on the laptop the boot screen appears on the external monitor then the monitor turns off as soon as it is booted. I have tried the Fn+f5 thing. (As well as Fn+every effin' key imaginable) and it still will not work. Any ideas? I really do not want to throw $200 into a new screen for an old, crummy computer when I know I'll get a new one when I graduate college in a year.

My 2 friends and I are all planning our high school graduation party.
